279A00 is a fault stored in your BMW's memory (an ISTA fault code, not a standard OBD-II P-code).
What it means: Active cooling air flap (radiator shutter): communication error between the engine ECU (DDE) and the flap actuator over the LIN bus. The shutter that regulates airflow through the grille isn't reporting back. Usual cause: LIN wiring/connector or the flap actuator.
